Meet Vitalii Mazur, a junior lieutenant and serviceman who sustained a severe combat injury resulting in the loss of a limb.
He chose our "ORTOPEDSERVISCENTER" for his prosthetics and rehabilitation. Prosthetist Dmytro Stepanenko fitted Vitalii with a reliable prosthesis featuring the 3R80 knee joint. With the support of qualified rehabilitation specialist Olena Surzhko, and through regular practice and training, Vitalii regained his walking ability and expanded his horizons by taking up sports.
His legendary jump with a basketball serves as proof that willpower, perseverance, and determination can restore mobility even after a high-level amputation.

Today, Vitaliy is a competitive sitting volleyball player—a sport adapted for veterans. He competes alongside his team and proves every day that while one might lose a limb, nothing can stop the force that drives one forward.

The 3R80 is a hydraulic knee joint from Ottobock for transfemoral prostheses. It provides stance and swing phase control, enables walking on stairs and slopes, and is suitable for active users. It is water-resistant and reduces the risk of falling.
